Afro samurai, gangsta geisha {#thisisthepart, part 18 of 31}
“(K)night falls on her; Lancelot to Guinivere /
Light falls on her; glinting sphere to hemisphere /
Water from her mind replenish tears endless years /
We been traveling in pairs; Noah’s Ark, Senate hearings . . ”
This poem was born as a series of texts which I sent to my ex-miss* one Halloween when I was chasing the ghost of our amour.
So focused on my “treat”, I did not yet get the “trick” . . .
(*And what is an “ex-miss”, anyway? Is it like one of the X-Men but whose mutant power is being missed?
I don’t know.
Suppose I missed it.)
“Eyes shed diamonds; priceless tears /
Inner heat stifling; grinding gears /
Body by Bally’s; perfect shape /
Her smile is a newborn’s; Gerber face . . ”
