Connection Collection feat. Gowri K {#ThisIsThePart, Part 29 of 31}
“What does it mean when the one who had the fullest whiff of your soul / Declares that they’re all sniffed out and desire rehab from your hold? . . “
Even heartache is easier to navigate with a friend. Here, myself and dear friend and talented Tamil poet Gowri K traded part questioning, part consolatory text messages which, because we’re both poets, became (guess what?) a poem.
“For indeed /
If we fall in /
Then fall in the end /
Then we end even lower than we begin /
Ergo /
Where goes /
The growth /
In the notes /
Of this concerto?? . . “
#ThisIsTheTrivia: If you like this piece, you’ll probably love my other collaboration with Gowri (along with Amin Drew Law). It’s an original song called “Forget You”, and the Eve Smith-directed video may be ready at my brokeballer YouTube channel by the time you read this!
