"SNIPER-MAN"

Sniper-Man
Rifle in his hand
Judge/jury/executioner all in one
Like Alicia Keys, keeps 'em fallin', son
9/11 called your bluff
But it wasn't all or enough
So put some Kevlar on your butt..

I open the newspaper and my eyes are burning
Because some psycho thinks he's Remy from "Higher Learning"
And we're all sitting ducks
Because he doesn't give a fuck
Walking home was already some exciting shit
Now it's a special ops mission
Calling for night vision and applied religion
All thanks to the sick mind and skilled hands
Of your friendly neighborhood Sniper-Man
This kid is trifer than
Saddam mixed with Bin Laden
He gets his kicks out of firing
On innocent civilians
Even children.

Were you picked on as a kid, Sniper-Man?
Well, so was I
That doesn't give you the right to decide
If so-and-so dies
You're so fucking crass
Shooting women while they're pumping gas
I hope you're buried in prison
Carried by six men
Who drop your coffin, giggle, and grin: "Ooops"
Like Pac said, "Dear Mr. President, send troops"
And I don't mean to Iraq, dog
I mean to your backyard
Bush Baby
Pushing the navy
Army, Air Force, and Marines
To harbor in ports overseas
Settling beef that started when I was a pre-teen..

The first rule of engagement is: "Always know who you fuckin with"
The second rule? "Don't put nothing past the U.S. government"
And speaking of the Bush family, yo
You have to know
They're no strangers to the "rally 'round the flag" principle
Starting wars to garner support
Filling their bread baskets with scare tactics
So don't be surprised if Sniper-Man was trained by THEIR ASSES..
That's right; our pal the Sniper
Might be down with al Qaeda
Or he might be one of "our" soldiers
JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS...
So the government can use his debauchery
As legitimate cause for the installment of martial law, ya see
So maybe
Just maybe
They don't WANT him caught, B..
And before you call this just another conspiracy theory
Sisters and brothers, hear me clearly:
If a black boy robs a corner store
He draws FOUR cop cars and
You want me to believe they "can't find" this mysterious marksman??

Well, at least now we notice each other
Even if it is in suspicion
Thinking, "Damn, kid, it could have been HIM.."
And don't forget to report any "strange behavior"
For patriotism, gauge your neighbors
(READ: McCarthyism with a new-age flavor..")

That's why I had to put aside my Queensbridge
And pull out my Dead Prez
Because this morning, I woke up, stretched and yawned
Looked out the window and guess what I saw?
All I saw was armored cars and martial law
So are you ready fi war?
'Cause it's Armageddon, baby-paw...
